SYCAMORE CLASS

Welcome from Mrs Sharp

Welcome back to Spring term 2018. Supporting the children will be myself, Mrs Sharp, the class teacher, Mrs Mason and Mrs Hayes our Teaching Assistants.

Support

I am sure your child will not have any problems at school however if a problem should occur the children know that they can talk to any of the adults in the class. If you have any queries or questions you would like to discuss with myself please ring and ask for an appointment at the office for after school on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. I am also available each morning before school from 8.30am for prior booked appointments.

Homework

Just a quick reminder that homework is given on the friday of each week and must be returned not later than the following Thursday. Spellings are also given on each Friday, with a spelling test a week later. Could you also practice the relevant timetables - your child/children will know which tables and division they must practise. reading homework is also important and your child should read to an adult or sibling each day. Please ask your child/children questions about what they have read as this will support your child's comprehension skills.

PE kit

It would be much appreciated if your child’s PE kit could be brought to school on each Monday and taken home each Friday and should include a t-shirt, shorts, a tracksuit, trainers (or plimsolls with a good grip) and socks.  Earrings will need to be removed for PE unless they have only recently been pierced and therefore they will need tape to cover their earrings.  Hair that is beyond the shoulders will need to be tied back. Receiving PE is a legal requirement for your child. Sycamore class will participate in PE for the Spring term on a Monday and a Wednesday.
